Mastering the Route Optimization game

assalamualaikum~ :)

I'm an engineer in the making.

Mungkin kalau ada rezeki sambung master, which everybody is trying to scare me off the master program thingy because they are too lazy to study and want to get married or go to work instead hmphh.., I might end up, being a traffic engineer. Because you know... Building things aren't my thang. :|

But... There's no easy way to become an engineer. No short cuts. Nor simple routes for you to take.

Contohnya......
The Route Optimization 'game'

See? Figured what this is?

This my friend, is a 'game'. A game for a so-called-traffic-engineer like me. I don't know why the heck did they call this as a GAME. Game my ass. At least, make varieties of linear and curve segments can't you? My road is fugly. Frigging ugly. :/

This is my assignment. To construct a road, either a user or construction friendly, in terms of cost. Or, it can be both. The rules are simple. You construct a road across mountains, extra construction cost. Because you'll need to do tunneling. Same goes to the forest (which might cause deforestation), existing residential areas/building (which you might have to pay for their compensation) or wetlands. And not to forget, you HAVE TO connect all residential areas and building together.

But.. If you construct the road, avoiding those mountains/residential areas/wetland/forest, you might end up, costing the user. You know, the more you try to avoid those things, the longer the road will be. And for sure, the more the user will have to spend on gas. Minyak mahal, you know? And in the long run, this is not good.

So....., this is when the 'game' gets tricky. Sheeeeshh.. Me no like this game!
